Jim Gibson (www.HickoryCoveMusic.com) is an Atlanta-based pianist who currently has a discography of 15 CD’s. He is a freelance pianist in the metro Atlanta area, has written four books on the music industry, and has taught at Georgia State University’s School of Music (most recently for two years as a full-time visiting professor and temporary chair of the music industry program)
Tonight, Brian talks with Jim about how he has created a very lucrative career recording his own solo piano CD’s and selling them through hundreds of vendors across the country as well as his own website, www.HickoryCoveMusic.com. They also discuss, in great detail, the thought, planning, and day-to-day maintanence that goes into creating a truly successful music-related business.
